Amanda Peet is an actress whose career did not start off with a bang. In fact, she had done 12 indie films that didn't even make it to the video store. Her first appearance on television was for a Skittles commercial. In the year 1995, she landed a role on the television series Law & order. That year also got her a role in the movie Animal Room, which was actually her feature film debut.

It was her role as Mia in The Whole Nine Yards, though, that propelled her to stardom. She was then voted as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People In The World by People Magazine in that same year.
