Born in San Franciso, California, Carre Otis went on to become a model and actress, starting her modeling career at the age of 18 by appearing on the covers of various magazines, one of which is Elle. She appeared in advertisements for Calvin Klein Jeans and Guess Jeans.

She was also featured in a 1996 Pirelli calendar and a Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition in year 2000. She's best known for her character role as Emily Reed in the film Wild Orchid. After that, though, her film career did not take off and her career in modeling grew stagnant due to her struggle with her eating disorders and drug addiction.
