Thandie Newton started her career in film by being a part of the Australian movie, Flirting. She's usually most remembered for her role as the female lead Nyah Hall in the movie Mission: Impossible II. She was also supposed to be one of the characters in Charlie's Angels, however, Mission: Impossible II went beyond schedule and she thus had to relinquish her role to Lucy Liu.

As for her television appearances, Newton has been part of the TV series ER and also graced the set of The Chronicles Of Riddick. Other films she appeared in were Crash, Shade, and The Pursuit Of Happyness, among others.
